Most have bought recently, including myself, because of the IPO...

However, most (at least it appears to me) haven't done nearly enough dd on the parent company DBC.

If these people do more DD on DBC, the price of DBC can maintain higher levels regardless of the MW IPO. The MW IPO is both a catalyst and asset.

Fully understanding both parts of the DBC equation adds more substance than the analogies to other secondary plays as to the current and future potential values of DBC's shares.

Because of DBCC intrinsic value, my own opinion is that the stock's value has more staying power than that of MALL's and will move higher in value than many other secondary plays because of its, DBC, own worth.

Well I think some of the irrational exuberance for some stocks is a joke.

I.e. when a $1 stock announces they will open a web site and it shoots up to $23 in 2 trading days (AAGP)...people who invest in those are simply playing russian roulette and its basically a pyramid scheme... or in playground terms "Hot Potato"... hopefully your not the last one holding the potato.

If your investing in the "real" internet companies... i.e. the AOL's or the Yahoo's of the world you don't have to worry about that sort of exuberance ... yes they go up and down, and probably a lot more than the average stock... but they recover and aren't subject to 1 insignificant news story making them jump up 800% and then down 775% within 4 trading days.

As for the price being 5 to 7 here.. really it was 8 to 12 for the past month so I would use that as the base, not 5 to 7. Also, the IPO is going to provide DBCC with a lot of cash and market value in about 2.5 weeks... which it didn't have before. So if they want to expand or buy things with either cash or their enhanched stock (easier to buy other companies when you have a higher stock price in a stock buyout), this is going to help them.

But I dont think we've reached irrational yet.. but let's check back next Friday ;)
