Good day to you Mark, Where I have stated that in a perfect world violence is never the answer, you have asked, "Would you have God act in a less than perfect manner? when he judges your soul, according to Christianity, he is not doing that in this world, he is acting in a more supernatural realm, where perfection is possible and his perfection is expected." I expect that God acts in a perfect manner always and believe that He has purpose for every thing. The bible says that He works all things together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. I have seen the practical application of this where things that begin to look like a tragedy end up as a tremendous blessing despite the initial circumstances. Regarding His judging our soul are you aware of who the bible says will do the judging? It is not God the Father. It is Jesus. "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." John 5:22-23 Mark, you say you are not concerned about consequences but about finding truth that is meaningful to you. Doesn't that search itself have consequences? Doesn't everything we do right or wrong have consequences? How we conduct ourselves or what we express as our belief has an effect upon the people around us, our children for instance, with tremendous long term impact again right or wrong. Why would God ever be offended by your honest and earnest search for truth? I appreciate the nature of your postings in that you consistently describe a search. The Christians here consistently present to you responses utilizing what we believe is God's word, the bible, to support our views. We can also speak from our personal experiences of how God has worked in our lives directly and I have found never contrary to His written word. A foundation for any belief structure is important, something that we base our beliefs upon and build thereon. Consequences again are inevitable, something will happen when we all come to the end of our journey, that search of which you speak. I am trying to see in your words, your search..., what that foundation is. Your honest search you describe is being answered time and again by God as the Christian sees it. Without a foundation you realistically will never have an answer, only opinions of other men or your own thoughts. God has revealed Himself historically and presently even leaving a manual for us. I pray daily that God will draw you to Himself and also that He protect you. "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation .) II Corinthians 6:2 God bless you, John
