John, A very good post and filled with sincere and also GOOD advice for anyone that is searching for meaning and purpose through the true and faithful Word of God, the Bible. <<The bible says that He works all things together for good for those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. I have seen the practical application of this where things that begin to look like a tragedy end up as a tremendous blessing despite the initial circumstances.>> One of my favorite verses. Certainly different from Matt 21:22"And all things whatsoever ye shalll ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Have you ever noticed that none of the "whatsoever promises" are found in Paul's Epistles? Instead you find things like Romans 8:26 telling us that we do not even know what to pray for? "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." New Christians are mostly told to start reading John for clarity in the Bible but we have a dispensational problem that can be cleared up by following 11 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God. A workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth." Once we realize that these whatsoever promises are Kingdom promises we that begin to fully appreciate Romans 8:28. WE KNOW NOT! Eph.3, 20,21 ""Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." "Unto Him be glory in the Church by Christ Jesus, throughout all ages, world without end."Amen I pray that more will find the true Word of Christ to us during this age of grace. God keep you, Santiago
