Hello Santiago, God's word is truth pure and simple. Romans 8:28 emphasizes the importance of I Thessalonians 5:18 "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." Many people confuse this as "For every thing.." not to mean that we aren't thankful for what we receive that is good as well. It's part of why I believe we're told to take up our crosses daily. I dislike when people give their testimony as "Become a Christian and life will become a bed of roses." I haven't found that in my bible yet. Christ went to the cross for us so why should we have it easy. Paul is a prime example. The World Day of Prayer was mentioned on this thread before. Found a terrific website that from what I've seen so far is bang on. Anyone interested in God sent revival and the rescue of this continent should check it out fastingprayer.com Trying to stay warm as you suggested, hard to do as we are buried in snow and hit -40 on new years eve. Much to be said for hibernation I think. Trying to find a palm tree for sale just for atmosphere. (heavy sigh) God bless, John
