I dont know what we will top out at this time but we will probaly move up with an influx of cash coming in from 401 k's and such but we are destined to fall back. The Transports never confirmed the recent run up in the Dow and if it wasnt for Fed Ex the Transports would be in the Sh!tter!!!...One reason I believe this is with Oil at almost single digits the Transports Should be leading the rally. Can anyone explain why they wouldnt???

Hmmm, you might just nail that 9817 by 1/13. Bizarre.
Watch out for Brazil.

When trading range narrows after a decent, is this potential breakout?

I tried to look at behavior right before a breakout.

Ive noticed that many times,
when a stock is plummetting, its has a wide trading range.
When it stabilizes, it has a much narower trading range.
After the narrow range, it breaks out, as volume picks up.

Is this correct?
Does anyone else have any observations to add to this?

Also, how does volume come int play?
ie: high vs low vol. during descent,
high vs. low during consolidation
and during beginning of new breakout..

Thanks for any help!

Sombreros off to you again, Senor R.

BTW, I heard you and IMF agent GANN were in Sao Paulo last month conferring with G. Franco about details of his resignation. Could you confirm this and if so would it constitute insider TA? <g>
