Steven, Thank you for your desire to understand. Consider this in the whole picture, The people Emile exalts did more horrific acts against the American Indians for the same reason. The struggle for land. The European CHristians did not have any history in this land as Israel has had, yet they were notorious. We all live in safety and luxury at their expense. His focus is pure hypocrisy and uncontrolled jealousy. People like CHrisitine however are loving people that do not want to see anyone suffer and I agree. There is alot more going on than we can see here. Like when the war was over and some Jews returned to the neighborhoods where their entire families were executed to live, the people would say things to them like: I thought we got rid of all of you, I guess we will have to try again. Just the pain of the memories would be enough to send me on my way much less the attitude of these people. Many of the survivors were told by loved ones that were being killed to promise them to go to Israel were their children can have peace. I would honestly welcome the Indians into my neighborhood and do all I could to help them. That is what should happen in the Middle East IMO. Instead of fighting the Jews can't they work it out? The history books show that the Jews were forced from this land like the Indians and that was wrong. I know it was a long time ago but they have suffered since and that also should stop. The Indians were persecuted a long time ago and I feel responsible to an extent for living in the luxury of their loss. When you check on how much support Israel received also try to find why they received it. There must be a reason. Hope you have a good Year in 1999, Nancy
