I've always thought it would be more valuable to watch what's RISING in timeliness from low levels than to choose what's already at the top. How do you feel about such things?

After watching ValueLine for almost 20 years, I have to agree. Focus on stocks moving from 3 to 2 is an early indicator they will get to one and give you the majority of the move assuming the rest of the fundamentals are in place. ValueLine timeliness is part fundamental change and part momentum change. If you couple this with the EPS rating in IBD (also at most libraries), you can get a feel for which stocks are going to get to 1 (eventually).

No rigorous proof offered, just a history of watching the system work.
