Chazlio:

Since you like the idea so much, can you please answer some questions for me regarding how this auction site will work.

Items being exchange either from auction house to individuals or from individual to individuals are "high quality and price" and many "one of a kind items".

With that caveat, say I want to buy a classic car or private residence.

Will MLRE's first and primary role be that of a search engine i.e. locating the items I'm looking for purchasing?

Or will MLRE merely list what is on the auction block?

Will these items be available for review prior to the auctions?

If I go to view the physical item, does MLRE act as a convenient way for me to review the items at my leisure and then participate in the auctions at a later date?

I find it quite inconceivable to have auctions for high end items without review of these items especially items like cars. When I buy a car, I have to access how many parts are original, I have to get under the hood and behind the wheel. Blistering paint on a fender can effect the car's value.

Now if I go review an item held by a private individual, why wouldn't I simply make him an offer in person rather than go through an extended process?

Who is going to handle the shipping of and insurance on items being exchanged via MLRE? Does MLRE have a contract with an underwriter?

Usually when buying high end items like cars both the buyer and seller are well aware of the value. Some times you luck out with estate sales, but for the most part this is very different than some one trying to liquidate excess inventory or trading beanie babies.

Now how would this work with real estate? Have you ever sold anything without the buyer looking at the property?

Are these going to be primarily cash sales? Or do people have to pre-qualify to participate on the MLRE to verify their credit worthiness?
Will sellers also have to pre-qualify to participate? Or, in other words, what are the built in safe guards to insure the complete transaction from both ends via this auction format? What if I purchase an item that isn't what was claimed? (Something very very possible with one of a kind items).

I'm currently not long or short with this company.

However, other than news releases, I can not see the justification for the valuations at these prices on the concept alone. The news releases seem to be tailored to take advantage of "internet frenzy".

So, there seem to be, at least to me, too many unanswered questions regarding the validity of this company's concept. To make this concept work, there are a lot of issues that have to be addressed. Many more issues than what are necessary for more conventional auction formats that deals more with consumer electronics, computers and less expensive collectibles (ebaY).

Though I will now refrain from any additional posts on this company until I do more of my own "dd". However, I will continue to lurk.

Just so you know, I am an arbitrrary individual who knows the area well!!! I live here!!! That's why when i saw MLRE back on the 15th of december, i looked into it. I have not found one thing that i would say justifies this to be more than a $1.00 stock. Rusty also has recently changed his home phone # (guess he was getting a lot of calls, it was listed) Now all calls go to a recording on the same number that is still registered in a residence.

I would guess Mr. White will do everything possible to make this company a success, but as for now they have ZERO!!
