Hi Scott

Hope you are getting some sleep and doing better with your cold. My wife picked up the bug too. Now she just has a persistent cough. My solution to avoiding coming down with it was to drink a lot of wine. I think this is a variation on the Russian cure for a cold. Drink enough vodka and nothing can live in your system.

The Novell facility in San Jose sounds like workers paradise. I know that a friend of mine, single, who works for 3COM eats all three of his meals in the company cafeteria and tells me that they prepare meals to very high nutritional standards. Very Good for the single engineers who cannot cook. Did they have tatsoi and arugula? I hope they stock some of that non-alcoholic wine that they sell in Utah.<ggg>

I actually got to drive through UTah twice this Summer on my way to Grand Teton and Yellowstone and Glacier. I also stopped at Bryce and Zion. Came down from Denver the first time and up and across to Nevada and Lake Tahoe and over to San Jose. Second time I took the Mohave route and nearly burned the rubber off the windows. I can see why people fly to CA!!! Utah is very impressive country but its a long way to San Jose.

I especially enjoyed those little mountains you climb up and over into these enormous valleys. From the air in a small airplane this must be some view!

My apologies for my contributions to the anti-personnel campaign going on here. Occasionally the bitterness gets to the point where I lash out at everyone. That's not good and I recognize I should stop it.

Unfortunately the thread has deteriorated quite a bit since you and many others left. It was possible to be able to find quite a bit of information and many ideas about investing here. Now the thread is bare and people mostly just want to congratulate each other on their brilliant investments. Let's say that the posts are just not very well thought out.

Having moved from an investor in NOVL to a trader of NOVL, I now post trading information and market trend analysis over at ragingbull. I just cannot afford to tie up 300K of capital in NOVL anymore. Given my feelings about the bubble we are in, I play it very conservatively. I don't want to risk that kind of capital in this market. I've stuck to buying and selling options. (Using short positions to protect my call gains.)

Certainly hope you got some of those $8 employee options!!! I'd buy myself some very long puts to lock in the gains. ooops there I go again shooting off my mouth. Damn.

Here's hoping the first quarter is a good one.

Regards,

Paul
