We have no power...it is 25 F (probably the best day of the year in many parts of the country .but not here...Re-charged my laptop's two batteries at work....would be complete darkness but started y2k preparation earlier today :) and have plenty candles, batteries and huge flushlight....Ready to argue now about anything, even matters that I agree with..

>>>we can't have it both ways, either sexual harrassment is a serious matter and lying in a sexual harrassment case is a serious matter or it isn't. >>>

I say not even that...If you are going to take huge money from trial lawyers like Clinton/dems are...you better not cry foul when the very same system (argueibly absurd) hit you..Far more absurd lawsuits are allowed to move on than Jones case...Where dems cry foul is not that they defend Clinton (they can't) but the valid point is people like me
think that he was never legitimate President, that he is non-presidential President and never was...that economy has nothing to do with Clinton...so they can't allow that point of view to become widely accepted...so it is about reprehensible conduct not about the
weak coward that THEY MADE their leader...

PS No Republican President could have win primaries or stay in power
under Clinton circumstances (not possible) irrespective of your political affiliation you must agree with that..:)

Loved your response..Glad you clarified it..I agree for the most part
with you..I am not pro Clinton,Rubin and Greenspan..I don't believe
in the government intervention in the "free market"..the technology
explosion would have created a robust economy down the road more slowly and a bubble wouldn't have been created..and a lot of the rest of the world wouldnt have gone down the tube and a lot of antiAmerican
sentiment's seeds wouldn't have been planted..
I just believe we are witnessing capital cronism with gold having to
be destroyed for a while at least to prop up paper..I think Rubin is
honorable but just following his own discipline to create jobs here..
and practicing "triage"-(ps just heard how many people on welfare
have gotten jobs..so I might be wrong here also..although many are
working below poverty level..but at least maybe cycle is being broken)
I agree with you about clinton's motives..I have argued this with my
friends although most are more offended by the Starr's "witchhunt"..
that is their greatest fear..
I am also angry at the women's movement(yes I had a horrendus time
at one of my jobs with sexual harrassment..so I might be bias on this
issue..it "ain't fun" ..when the women's movement turned that back
on this issue..then the "jerks" probably figured blue skies ahead..
Although the men I mentioned are dead..there appears to be enough
documented material--especially re Kennedy who was within a lot of our
life times..to show a link between power and sexual acting out..wonder
if it is based on deep seated insecurity :-)
