One area that I have not spent a lot of time discussing is the exhaustive research RDIM intends to do on their members and their buying history. Remember on the conference call when John said a Hertz or Avis advertisement might come up if you were booking a flight?

Well take that kind of rational thinking and add a knowledge base that has information on all your buying preferences and the timing of your past purchases, your birth dates, your anniversary, and in depth information on all your family members.

This voluntary exchange of information will help club members to receive information on products and services which they are truly interested in instead of the shotgun approach.

You also have to keep in mind how much better this will become as TV and the internet merge into a truly interactive medium with faster download times.

IMO, better to start off at the low end to attract members and as the company gets more members and more products, to then raise the fee.
