Ink,

I think I'll try Spinner's native player, bypass the browser, plug-in, and RealPlayer...........and see what happens.

No AOL banner for me either (but I always bypass the @HOME home page so it may have been there in the past). The banner I show is for connecting multiple computers...so, they're finally allowing multiple computers to connect simultaneously via your self-installed home network, providing you are an expert user and agree to all the "non-support" clauses, for 7 bucks a month plus a 10 dollar 1-time setup fee. This may be a Cox@Home-only feature.

As for TuneIn/theDJ.com, at times it has so many dropped packets that it's not worth using. I've used it on and off for 9 months or so. Performance hasn't changed much. Sometimes you can go hours with no droppped packets, sometimes it drops packets every couple minutes. Good thing it's included with the service (notice I didn't say 'free'). I wouldn't consider paying extra for it til they co-locate the server and eliminate the dropout factor, but that's just me.

Looks like they've made great strides in the Software "download-purchase" feature. MANY more titles than a few months ago. Anyone actually ordered thru this?

The content seems to be coming along at a safe clip. Still nothing that can't be had from a dozen other sites, but I realize this isn't targeted toward people that actually know how to use search engines and can find all this stuff on their own.

[Hi Bob Z. Boy, all us old participants are coming out of the woodwork. Interesting thought RE: trial baloon].
