Almost correct. No company with pathetic financials like this can _remain_ at $300+. However, during a massive mania, it can sustain these levels for a very short period of time.

Next to RCA, I believe Amazon will go down in the record books as the biggest speculative disaster in US Stock market history. At least RCA actually made a profit.. Bezos's creation will be famous, but it will be used as a synonym with 'mania'.

As in, "That guy just went Amazon! He was full of crystal meth!"

Or "Looks like that stock is about to Amazon!"

Or "Mount St Helens is looking unstable, it could Amazon at any time!"

>No company in the stock history with sequential declines in margin with compounded
>negative earnings like this can be at this astronomical level of 300$+. all imo.

Jach, while I agree that Amazon will come down substantially, how does one make judgements based on stock price - look at the price of Berkshire Hathaway, in tens of thousands of dollars per share. It is the market capitalization (# of shares outstanding times stock price) ratio to sales and the net margins are two key factors in determing worth.
