Good morning Sonny,

Yes we were lucky to have the temperatures rise over night avoiding what could have been a very serious weather condition. I think the temperature yesterday reached a high of 55. We are in the freeze today but only less than 3 months till spring.

The S+P futures look a little better this morning but fear of the new Euro dollar did not do any good for trading in Europe or any where else.
Hope that our markets do not weaken because of the overseas action.

I saw the interview last night with the Ceo of Sun Microsystems. He was a really putting SUN out on a limb with the comments he made and I don't think that many people liked it. IBM and HWP both know better than to go head to head with Bill Gates. He tried to deny that he had anything to do with the Justice Department going after Microsoft and I do not think that 60 minutes bought that story or felt that he was above board. I think there is going to be some serious back lash down the road by Microsoft.

Here is another view on last night's broadcast

<< Fighting MSFT IS like hurling a pebble at Goliath. All you accomplish is pissing him off and you get squashed... for now. Most of all for now MSFT is and will remain for sometime a great investment. No one ever said big business was nice business. The nice guys finish last-- the not so nice guys finish as Scott-- with fame and wealthy but not in 1st place.>>

Have a good day
Frank

Sonny Re: Intc/EDS/UIS

Hello, followed Intc today from big jump in a.m. to levelling off, to comeback at end. See a run-up thru next week, pre-earnings, may even take some profits, something I have't done in 3 yrs (this Jan.14th), but would only consider selling a small portion. Will buy it all back if it dips to 110-115.
Re: EDS--Did you notice that Unisys will be getting a piece of that business? UIS keeps getting touted as nice mover this year, after it was up 140% (approx.?) in '98. I strongly recommend all here to consider it again, esp. on any pullback.
Have been holding Nextel (NXTL), seems to be getting a lift by T's deal? with Airtouch. Also liked NT's bounce, finally back to where I had a high with Bay before it plummeted when bought by NT.
Hope you're feeling better. My wife is recovering from a cold after we returned from the Silicon Hills to visit our younger son in
Austin, TX, who finally had some time off.
Regards to all, Royco
