The systems I rely on have a basis that if the market supposed to be going through a pullback, or an advance for that matter, but it stays flat then the flat motion equates to the anticipated move. In other words, if I expected the market to sell off here but it just stays flat then the market in essence is still going through the pullback phase although it's just moving sideways. Which suggests to me the market will move much higher in the afternoon.
