Paul,
RE:"Hutch - It didn't take LONG ! $163 is the current price for the 400 MHz
K6-2 on PriceWatch!"
---

Why do you make such a big deal out of this?
AMDs yields are good, wafer real estate is small, and they have to compete with the Celeron 400s that Intel is dumping. The 450 is "soon" to be released at an ASP of $220...and so goes the cycle....
Wanna bet Intel doesn't counter with a Celeron 433 or 450 anytime soon?

All the best, Jim

Quit your ranting and raving Paul . Remember
K6-2 die size is almost half that of Celeron 79mm2 vs 150mm2?
AMD k6-2 cost is something like $35 at their present volumes and Celeron around $65 ?
This is the kind of pricing that AMD has in its plan since day one.
Could the same be said of Intel ?
Last but not least , anyone would think we were discussing companies that were equal in strength not one that was valued at $4B and the other at $200B .
The frequency of your posts shows that you are very nervous .
