<AMD k6-2 cost is something like $35 at their present volumes and Celeron around $65?>

Actually, thanks to the Socket Celeron, its cost should be down to $55. The Slot Celeron is still $65. This is according to Microprocessor Report.

Hutch - Re: " Remember K6-2 die size is almost half that of Celeron 79mm2 vs 150mm2? "

That only means that AMD throws away a lot more die than Intel does !

If AMD's costs are one half that of Intel's, why were their profits only 1/1760 of Intel's last quarter?

Hutch - Re: "The frequency of your posts shows that you are very nervous"

Yeah - Intel at $120 and AMD at $28 makes me REAL NERVOUS !

How about you, Hutch !

You've missed out on some good opportunities by not listening to me and Yousef and Elmer !

Hutch - AMD's 400 MHz K6-2 is now DOWN to $162 on PriceWatch !

Intel's 366 MHz Celeron has made its Pricewatch Debut at $135 ! That makes a $45 INCREASE in ASP - compared to the 333 MHz Celeron !

What is AMD doing to offset the SLUMPING prices of the 400 MHz K6-2?
