Dougerdad: Thanks for the info on the Mylex 64-bit RAID product. A quick check suggests that the Mylex product, although announced in the second quarter, wasn't scheduled to go to market until Q4 98, but it may have gone earlier. Also, it looks like the Adaptec product, scheduled for market this month, incorporates one additional channel. So, Adaptec may not be that far behind the "leader" in RAID.

Somebody explain to me how having a 64 bit controller helps a 32 bit Wintel machine.
