One thought for you re the use of the beta is to make sure that you are consistent; otherwise you are basically changing the system through the addition of new indicators -- unless it was already part of your system in the first place -- and that is a no-no -- for obvious reasons.

I agree with what you say, however, ever since I put the system together I have been trying to find something else to confirm or help with the whips as you know. It appears the early indication is that the Beta will do that. To completely backtest it will take some time as the entries and exits will be changed and I will have to pin-point the time the BETA goes one way and then see when the SPOO goes etc.....

My thinking for now is that the system still works, but is going through a rough spot. At this point I plan on still using the system, but looking to the Beta to confirm is all. If the Beta doesn't confirm, I think I will be a bit more careful with the signal...kinda like the half positions I have put on. That is not part of the system either, I need one full position as that is what I have tested with, but for now, half positions appear to be saving me. I would be down 40 points instead of 20.

If we continue up it looks like the last sell was a money management stop out for me as well as the entry was 1138.00...not quite to 48 yet, but darn close.

Tom,
Here are 2 articles on the euro
Message 7007010
Message 7042123

Personal opinion....someday the euro may be a problem for the US dollar
But not until the political and sociological problems of this incongruent
group of personalities is tested. That could take years.

There are still many questions about the resolve of national interests
when serious problems evolve. Lets wait and see what happens.
