Well, first, if they did have an open marriage, why did he have to lie to her about it? If as you believe they agree among themselves that his having oral sex from White House interns is okay, then he would have just been able to say to her, "Dear, Monica is sucking me off, just wanted to be honest with you since we have an open marriage and agree that's okay." Why this "he was counselling her" shit, why this "I lied to my wife" if his doing that was okay with her?

Second, marriage is a civil contract. I don't know what state they were married in. Was it Arkansas? I don't know the laws of that state, but I suspect that at the time Arkansas probably considered adultery a violation of the marriage contract. Is it okay for people to do illegal things if they agree among themselves it's okay?

I think you are correct. They have some have a marital arrangement.
But that won't stop the right from trying to impose its oppressive values on others.
