Thanks Esteban, I am leaning towards Datek, as the decibel level of the posts seems to have quieted. I don't have the stomach, or whatever to trade the high flyers early in the morning yet, anyway. I'm more of a swing trader. Also, I was getting the exact impression that you just expressed about the situation there. Should be AOK for me, but I'll sit back and watch for awhile yet. Good answer, thanks.

FWIW: although there's a few complaints lately, that did not change the whole picture about datek concerning the 1st 15m or 30mins of the opening trade...They're either experiencing "busy server" or unaccesible at all during those times.. last time I bad mouth them is over a month concerning about those 1st 1/2 hr trading and nothing change at all since then.. best of my experience those past 30 days trading, I was only able to access the servers about 20% of the time during the 1st 15ms.. more luck after 9:45...The best thing I did is instead complaining here on the board I went to call the customer service directly and ask for "free trades" which they oblige since they can't compensate your trade losses/best gains anyhow..

just a thought..
eL...

p.s...during the holiday, Datek still experiences either a busy or down server during the 15m opening...
