G_S,

1. When is profit posted to your acct after a trade?

The next morning.

2. Are correct funds available before market open?

Yes, MBT created an automated back up system for days Southwest blows it.

3. What is the procedure to get margin reports and when are they available?

They are online and get posted the next morning.

4. What is the support like during trading hours when you have a problem in an active trade?

I would say exceptional, you have direct access via the chatroom and phone. I "think" you are getting the most qualified support staff. A professionally staffed trading desk for back up is essential in case of a bad internet interruption.

5. Are monthly fees credited promptly back to your account after minimum number of trades have been made at end of month?

I am sure, but I am a slob, so I never really noticed. <gggg>

good luck!

ps

Today was a perfect day to have great trading tools.

fun fun fun

Gun Shy et al,

Anyone switching to MB Trading??? MAKE SURE you ask them for the $5.00/trade commission special. I signed up with them several weeks ago and made maybe 30 trades at $22.95. Then I saw on this thread of a "newbie" rate. Called them today and asked for it. Starting tomorrow, I will be paying only $5.00/trade on trades of 300 shares or less for the next 60 days. I told the rep that I don't remember hearing about the offer except on this thread and he said that they keep it secret. (One of those things where if you ask for it you'll get it, but if you don't you won't.) At $5.00/trade I'll be able to more fully experiment with their system. Thanks for whoever posted this deal in the first place. GREAT THREAD!!!

Gary

How come no one from MB Trading monitors their site on Silicon Investor? Notice that A.B. Watley does, along with Yamner and Cyberbroker. What is MB Trading afraid of? Is that why they are hiding behind the skunk, excuse me make that "I have no name" funk?

We would like the participants of Silicon Investor be among the first to know that we
have published our upgraded web site.

As many of you already know, our commitment to the Trading segment of the on-line
community has always been our highest priority. We hope that through innovative
products and a strict adherence to high standards for service quality, we deserve the
reputation we have established in the online brokerage community.

The new site is geared for active Investors looking for a high quality alternative to, and

is completely free, contains a number of value added services, and is extremely easy to
navigate. We hope that you visit it and bookmark us.

For those of you that are still looking for reasons to open an account with us, we hope
that our site product is the deciding reason.

Can someone please tell me who are all the brokers who provide "before and after-hours" trading? The only one I know of is JB Oxford, and it doesn't look to me like they cater to day traders.

Thanks in advance
