<<Speed is the future>>...Haven't you been paying attention to the analysts (e.g. K.Benjamin) who've been saying a Broadband deal (or deals) is imminent?

AOL is going farther than you think.

Regards, George

How's this for AOL speculation.

1)Blowout Numbers on 27th, soundly beating concensus of .14.
2)Split announced, 3/1 or 2/1.
3)Deal with ATT or TWX, could include @HOME access.
4)AOL buys CBS (WSJ article today suggests MORE than advertising is possible in AOL/CBS alliance).

These deals are all possible...I am looking for a 2/1 Split, End of Year price @ 150+....Or, 3/1 Split, End of Year price @ 100+

Regards, George

SOROS,

Have to agree but remember: Every relationship, husband - wife, son or daughter, business partner, whatever is Value for Value. That is the reason ATHM or AOL have absolutely nothing to worry about.

From the porch,

Voltaire

Soros; AT&T with @home. There is no reason AOL can't do the same. AT&T uses Newbridge Networks' ATM switches you mention in that article. There are alot of other folks doing that starting from World Com. AOL & WorldCom for broadband? AOL plus Ameritech and SBC?

Meanwhile wiring people together is not the only obstacle. The next hurdle is getting 1 mill+ subscribers a month and selling on the web.
It's an art, a gift. Ask Sam Walton and Steve Case has it,

back later,

Dear Voltaire,
AOL is not the future. AOL is an 8-bagger right now for the year. ATHM is a 4-bagger. IMO, this gap will close. Speed is the future.
