AOL going downhill access wise...... I have AOL as ISP, have had for 3 years........ service is the worst ever and going downhill fast. When you ask them about it, they just indicate, with arrogance, that they are the big guys now and dont seem to care about bloody access problems the paying user has........ well..... I bought AOL because it just seemed an excellent choice at the time because it was an excellent ISP. AOL USE to be excellent, (redialing for 30 - 40 minutes only to be popped off by 45 min timer now is RIDICULOUS !) so it is now time to sell until their systems can catch up with their growth if they even care to due so. Brand name or not, if they want to spit on the paying customer, they will at some point run into problems. AOL may just end up playing into the hands of an AOL wanna be...... when I find the right ISP for me, I am switching and I would bet (buy selling my AOL shares) that millions of their 15 million + customers are feeling the same way. No doubt, I am one ticked off doo da! But when service sucks and concern for the customer sucks there is something wrong in Denmark. Buy and sell on gut and my gut is saying time to sell till something changes.

Steve Case and AOL, what goes around, comes around.

Regards,

Former AOL supporter who has put up with the "you have AOL?" attitude and the "oh, you have AOL, well then you must do this or do that this way or that way for IT to work" crap ..... and the very slow at times, EMail service for years.
