boy, this several day rise is getting to be too much...i mean noka is great, but come on.

last split at 125 and change. i'm thinking that another split will be announced when 4q and 98y results are released on jan 29.
that's about three weeks away.

what does everyone else think?

of course, if it keeps going like this, they may have to announce split earlier.

Regards.

An understandable reaction but IMHO too conservative . . . look at what has happened to P/E multiples of stocks like GPS,CSCO,LU,CCL,MSFT,BBY,LOW,GE etc., over the past 3 months . . . into the stratosphere for them all . . . IMHO the objective for the next 18 months is to find the company among the many that has the greatest likelihood of significantly exceeding street ests and when you look at all of the relevant fundamentals (as you do so well) you must conclude that either the market is ripe for a 10-15% correction or that NOKA is primed to outperform all the aforementioned and become a target of portfolio manager anxiety (i.e. they're underweighted) at the end of each of the next 4 quarters . . . analysts have continually talked about the "elasticity" of the pc mkt. but portfolio mgrs. have always viewed the cellular mkt. as cyclical (with good reason) . . . the shocker of the next 2 years is from the $50/500 minutes any time any where pricing that will continue to migrate down as competition intensifies . . . this at a time when US mkt share is approaching 40%, the European mkt. is on fire (did anyone say European infrastructure mkt share gains), China continues to surprise on the upside and minimal exposure to LatAm . . . obviously that all sounds great but the proof will be in the #'s . . . if NOKA reports a blowout 4Q and all of the GE-GPS of the world haven't had a significant pullback be prepared to go where no man has gone before

>>I want this buying hysteria stopped immediately. It's unhealthy and un-Nordic.<<

Well, Tero, it looks like you got your wish :)
But why do you suppose that ERIC and QCOM are still maintaining their gains? Or will their turn for a pullback come tomorrow?

Winston

Tero:

I returned my Ericsson LX-788. Although it was a small, light, and compact phone with an integrated vibrating battery, the talk time was clearly inadequate. If I never touched the phone and I received no incoming calls, I got 49+ hours of Stand-by time in AT&T's digital network. However, when I talked on the phone for about 30 minutes, the standby time was around 35-38 hours.

I am interested in Nokia's offering, but not the 61xx or 51xx models because they are too big. When is Nokia coming out with that sliding phone or an update in the US?

Thanks,

dave
