Lew did good! The interviewer wanted to talk about HP problems and Lew got him back on the positive!

Most of Platt's interview dealt with the introduction of a new line of sub-$100 printers with a second brand name of Apollo (gosh, that sounds familiar doesn't it...for those of you who remember Apollo workstations). It sounds to me as though the primary objective is to get HP ink-jet cartridges into the fastest growing segment of printers. Platt claimed they were making an acceptable profit on the printers themselves but I'll bet the REAL goal is to sell the cartridges which have about a gross margin of about 90%.

At least he didn't send the stock back down (yet, anyway) which is the usual result of his interviews!
