Her statement about the 25 year-olds is way off the mark. The government policies priced more of them out of the insurance market and priced the insurance policies at a level far above the economic value to these people.

The decline of the family unit (both the immediate and the extended) is at the source of many of the problems. The family unit used to be the first line of the social safety net, both in terms of financial support and morality. Those are both eroded by job mobility and the substitution of Big Brother as the financial and moral support, such as the Welfare State which is amoral. As for the RR's demonizing of groups they consider threats to the family unit, the threats they should focus on are primarily those individuals or groups that pursue unstable family relationships, regardless of homo/heterosexual, since these tend to result in situations such as child support where the legal system has to intercede.
