I beg to differ. Actually, Clinton is in a win-win situation in regards to the market. As long as the economy hums and the bull keeps roaring, he can claim his policies are the reason for prosperity (good joke). Conversely, a protracted impeachment trial will provide him with the coverage to blame Republicans for any economic and/or market downturn that may occur while months of Monica and sleazy porno occupy all three branches of government.

I'm not a Democrat but I have to agree with Dipy that the GOP is setting itself up for a self inflicted royal screwing in the next election. Principled? Probably. Smart politically? Not even close!
