The vulnerable congressmen are those moderates. Those were ones who were on the fence in the impeachment vote. A poor economy hurts all incumbents as it did in 1992. Incumbents of both parties were being thrown out. As for the market, it's built up quite a bubble. The larger representation of internet stocks in the Nasdaq market indices in the last 3-6 months has probably contributed to their volatility. Looks like the Nasdaq may be headed for 30% over the 200 day moving average soon.
