Re: Bubble.

Well I am worried about this Internet bubble bursting and taking down my other hi-tech stocks in flames as well. I bought 5 July 130 Put contracts today. I am planning on buying more as a hedge against my other positions every month or so until the bubble ends.

Kind of a dollar cost averaging approach as long as the overall market keeps ramping up.

Any-one else doing something similar or trying other hedge's.

Regards,

Kash

This bubble will end when Greenspan cuts rates at an emergency FOMC meeting late in January.

I assume you mean raise rates?

You are correct. Most of the tech stocks have about the same earnings than 1995 and even a poorer intermediate earnings growth outlook. Almost all the gains in the market have come from expanded credit and liquidity.

KIS,

I agree with you about the valuation of AMZN, it's crazy. I also have lost money betting against it, but let's not get crazy. Average Americans having more equity in the stock market than their homes is a positive thing. A home is not an investment, it is a place to live. When this bubble bursts it will be an expensive education for many speculators, but average Americans are not driving internet mania, they are putting a fixed % of their earnings in a 401k each month.

It will all work out. Trust me.

Pete
