What is your point . . . Since it has escaped you let me say it another way. I think Carl Kruse can address his involvement quite on his own. He has no need of your involvement in behalf of defending him, as he is perfectly capable of speaking for himself. (If I could be so bold as to suggest another word besides languid in your intended use, I would suggest something more like diminishes than droops. For instance saying my credibility is flagging or drooping just doesn't carry the same power as saying that my credibility is withering, shrinking, vanishing or diminishing. I think that the idea that it grows smaller is more in line with what you would want to say in that situation. But just a suggestion. Good Luck.)
