But, when any Scripture is taken out of context and used to modify another contex, that modification becomes an untruth. When a doctrine of a diffferent dispensation is used to apply to a doctrine of another dispensation, only confusion can result as I'm sure you are observing this on the thread. There are things that are common to all dispensations such as faith, God as creator, man's rebellion and so on. Some doctrines are based on the unchanging principals of God. Other doctrines are applicable only in the dispensation in which they were given. Here are a few distinctions; "....repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins....."Acts 3:38 Pauls requirement; "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reconed of grace, but of debt. "But to him that WORKETH NOT, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, hif faith(alone) is counted for righteousness." Rom:4:4,5 In Paul's requirement for salvation, we can find only faith.
