Too bad it didn't pan out, but right from Monday, I had this nagging feeling, which I couldn't ignore, so I sold my shares..

I, also, had a order in for shares at .14 which I cancelled today..

Thanks, Kevin, for keeping us abreast of the happenings..I will watch from the sidelines for now, I think when the news hits, there will probably be another selloff, I'm not sure if daytrading it is a good idea either, who knows, its a judgement call really..

Kevin, you hit the strategy nail right on the head. The goal of terrorism is to disrupt and confuse the enemy. Hit them where it hurts the most, and in any war, the pocketbook and/or the morale are the best targets. Hit them fast and hit them hard. Unexpected attacks on strong opponents send a "good" message (ie: hitting Ashton) that the terrorists are not to be played around with. If these mines are a chief source of funds and a world wide focus for the investment community, it would make sence from the warped mind of the terrorist to hit them. The more extreme and unexpected, the better.

If as you say, this hasn't hit the world news wires yet, and it will tonight, then, this stock is going to take a beating. I am surprised that it did not take a worse one today.

Pretty ugly world we live in, eh?

A

Kevin:
I can't find any info in the news release with regards to an attack on the mine.It seems a vehicle was ambushed that belongs to Ashton while en route between the mining district and Ashtons headquarters.
I would say there is a significant difference.I am sure the operating mines in the area are heavily guarded with the recent rebel activities.I would wait for further clarification from Ashton before making any rushed decisions.
