NN has no plans that I know of to play in that market. Maximum expansion in NN's niche will only occur when standards based products are in place to take data all the way to the consumer who will demand the bandwidth.

I believe Cisco is saying they're going for the consumer market and to my knowledge NN has no desire to send one army east and one west.

However, if Cisco succeeds in spurring the consumer to buy whiz-bang cable or DSL devices, NN's switches will be all the more in demand.

It appears Cisco's gunning for 3Com's market.
