<My thoughts on Societe Anonyme> There are a number of ways to play the stocks that Joe puts out. Some people play them wrong and get burnt. I have done this as well! The key is determining how to play them. If you have the fast executions then play the momo's if not then wait for the momo's to go down and pick them off the bottom for a secondary momo usually of smaller proportion but still profitable (IE. GBOT today). Check out ENPT, CMPC, CAND, & others, either that or if you are so inclined short them at the top. When the majority sell their shares it normally brings the stock price below where it was to begin with. So picking them up off the floor can result in some nice gains. ENPT was/is profitable this way. Plus Joe is usually early into the good stocks so they end up being a good position play as well. I, like many others respect the man. He has a tough time keeping everyone happy, and as a result there are some dissatisfied players. You have to understand your own trading capabilities to make money on anyone's picks. Lately SA has been very active trading the larger issues on the IRC and doing quite well picking tops and bottoms (CMGI, ONSL). It is also much harder for the MM's and shorters to go after Joe's group if he is following or leading the larger crowd so to speak. As a recent new member of SA I feel like I'm getting value out of my membership even if I don't play in the same sandbox all the time. At least I know where he is playing, and I can avoid getting sand kicked in my face (I Did get a large trout slap though! LOL). I'm sure I'm like many of the investors here that take a little from everyone and apply it to my own situation. I follow Joe, Jenna, Tim, Kimberly, JJJ, Trader J, and Rashid, with a little Haim, & David Plonk on the Big Kahuna thread to balance things out. But today I played Daniels pick WCTI from 8 3/8 to 14. Timing & discipline are very important lessons to be learned and Joe preaches this to all SA members who will listen & read his 10+ e-mails per day. Lately there have been a few complainers that have been posting here. I suspect that each one of them has learned something about their trading style that has cost them money. Who clicked your mouse button for you, why blame others for faults that might be your own?? Is Joe 100% right? Of course not, so why hold him 100% responsible for a bad trade. Learn from it and move on. As I read other threads and see the negative things said about Joe and SA it really turns my stomach. Because it is these very same people that have enough respect for him to bookmark him and make him the most visible person on SI. Personally he reminds me of Barry Bonds, not neccesarily well liked by the fans, coaches, or fellow players, but dam is he good at what he does.
