Japanese are still cutting capex, overall industry capex is falling, there is no growth in industry capex. It doesn't "move" from one place to another. Capex levels are below what they should be in order to prevent a supply shortfall from worsening.

What are you basing the LG/Hyundai "larger" figure on? 64/128/256meg output at LG/Hyundai is 16-20m units/months. MU & Samsung combined are currently close to 30m units/months. Output and size are not anywhere near as important as line widths and chip size. It is these two variables that will decide whether you make money or not and, ultimately, who will survive.
