Welcome to the thread. I have a few questions for you:

1. First, concerning DRAM capex. MU said in the fourth quarter conference call that they expected industry capex to be about $4 billion in 1999. A recent post on another thread cited a figure of $8 billion in capex:
Message 7132581
How much do you expect? Does this change in estimates reflect a difference in opinion, or is MU ignited another round of spending by all the DRAM makers to remain competitive?

2. As for die sizes, I thought that the 5th generation 64Mb chips had die sizes down around 60mm2. Do you know what the die size is for MU at .21µ?

3. Do I gather that you expect the phase shift to be successful at .18µ?

Thanks again for your input.

Carl
