Steelguy - your heart is in the right place, but the mechanics are difficult. SI is not a charity, and I seriously doubt they will agree to collect checks, cash them, be responsible for bounced checks, etc. Nor does that really benefit the contributor who may want to give more, but cannot take the tax deduction because SI is not a charity. And then you have the problem of agreeing on a single charity. If Mr. Pink leads you to some profits, take some and give to the cause you believe in. It will make the world a better place.

Good luck with your daughter.

Mr. Pink's sister is diabetic as well as His dear uncle....The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation certainly a worthy research entity. Mr. Pink's prayers are with you and your daughter. Take comfort in the fact that every day breakthroughs are being made in better treatments for the dreaded disease and hopefully, before your daughter is too old, there will be a real cure.

It would probably be better if people made their contributions directly....And given the amounts of $$$ being made, Mr. Pink would hope people would give considerably more than a measely 5 bucks.

Mr. Pink
