If I understand your description, it is also like a ponzi scheme isn't it? As long as the frame expands, there is income to pay each other, but doesn't it all fall down eventually? like when the financing runs out and there is no money to pay for the ads?

David et al.:

This is not a hard core tech question, but seems to fit on this thread.

Recently, even in the AM when net load is low, when I click on SI "next" or try going to any site, my 'puter frequently just sits there and hangs. It will contact the site, or await reply or be in mid reception of bytes, and HANG. Usually "reload" or "back" and reclick will kick it in the butt, and the site will come in. This is extremely annoying and time consuming. I recently upgraded to Win98, but I believe it was doing it before, just not as frequently.

I know my ISP is marginal at best, (I have limited choices and think they both use same route to backbone or whatever gets to the net) but this seems not to be a connection problem??

Anything I can tweak on my computer?

Also gif or pegs are now more grainy than before upgrade. Can't find any relief in "display" options. I am looking at monitor handbook as I write, no relief. I have a 17" Sony multiscan 200 ES, set for 16 bit.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
