Hi all,

Here is my Charles Schwab story.

1) They got my SSN wrong, and never fixed it despite my requests
2) They merged my account with someone else's account, and made this joint account into a trust account.
3) In this new account, Schwab started buying funds without my request.
4) I complained, they set me up with a new account. I was told that every thing is fine now.
5) They didn't tell me that I couldn't use my checks, I called to verify that I have to wait for new a check book.
6) In this newly created account, they started buying funds with out my request again. I told them to stop doing it.
7) The new account they set up is not a Schwab One account as I have had before. Again, I told them to change it back.
8) Then they froze my new account from trading, because their Internal Document Review group couldn't find my paper works for my new account.
9) I called Schwab's chairman hot line. The problem is finally fixed.

Adding everything together, I made about 30 to 40 phone calls. And it took a great amount of my time. I am going to close my account with Schwab and file complaints with the SEC.

Watched a trade execute just after I placed an order for some calls this morning at the open. Thinly traded, looked like my trade (same number of contracts, executed at my limit).

Would like to place an order to sell them. Can't, as I haven't got a confirmation of buy, three hours later.

Same thing with the same issue yesterday at the close....... an order executed, but I couldn't get confirmation until this morning. Schwab says that it's the exchange that doesn't get back to them. I believe that, but...... there has to be a better way.

Been on hold for about 5-10 minutes now, waiting to get a specialist from my 500 team. Pottruck and Schwab just didn't plan ahead for the demand...... this company will grind to a complete halt, IMO, when the next crunch time comes. Good personnel, but not much foresight among management, even after their wake-up call.

Got through to my 500 team for the second time this morning. Still no confirmation or feedback. Bid is $3 on the issue that I believe that I own (and would like to sell), and has been at 3 for at least 30 minutes. Am posting this at 10:59 a.m. Pacific.

Just got a call back from my 500 team. They're working on it. Great personnel, too bad that Pottruck hasn't provided the infrastructure for them to shine in.
