Near month call options trading fairly active. There is open interest in the Jan 90 calls of 2800+ contracts!!!

Makes sense to me, Peter. LU's stock is about the strongest currency around at the moment, too.

If the acquisition was going to be by tender offer it would stand to reason that LU would be talking to the largest owners of Q stock.

Not to speak for Gregg, but from conversations with Gregg, I suspect that he sees this the same as I do - any buyout is bad for long term stock-holders. I certainly wouldn't want LU shares (or any other Telecom's shares) for my QCOM shares.

As for why Gregg isn't talking right now - he's probably on the road doing research. Not much is happening on the board recently that is of critical interest. Relax.
