It's never moved through 3 in one day to record highs; it's moved through two in one day (to new highs) three times.

I guess I have a minute, I'll check.

2.6%, eh? I could check that too but I'll just take his word for it. A few years ago 2.6% was a big number because the markets moved with far less volatility.

I would have to believe he is speaking of recent years.

From August 18 to 20 the market advanced over 300 points, 1997

On October 15, 1998, it tagged over 300 points in one day.

Several days had over 200 points and probably if one or two of them was coupled with the prior or following day it would be another example of a 3 century move.
