Here are some notes from Orckit CFO presentation : New Adsl chipset "commercial launch very close". Integration still needed. Orckit is shipping "tens thousands lines in a Q" 1998 total deployment in U.S. of adsl lines from all the vendors 140k 1999 500k. 2000 AND ON 100% PER YEAR. Orckit sole vendor to GTE. Most of DT contract (minimum 50% of 35k lines) in 1999. GTE is ready, after the 1998 deployment of hundreds of Orckit units in each of its 300 central offices, to serve 6 million lines if the demand comes. Orckit has 40% of the present world adsl market. VDSL product launch in 1999.
