[integration still needed?] hi shlomi, Happy New Year! and many thanks for your notes on the presentation... a couple of questions, when you have the time, when you say, "New Adsl chipset commercial launch very close. Integration still needed.", it would seem to imply that more work is needed before the new adsl silicon can be used in the orctf platform... ... am guessing that the customer end (modems) is all set (no additional work needed), and the work needed would be on the central office side for line cards (multiple chips/ controller etc) and so forth?... and/or maybe tweaking the software etc? was any detail given? "tens thousands lines in a Q" is a significant ramp up from last qtr's 5k lines/qtr (and maybe as expected from that inventory line from last qtr).. ;) and it sounds like they have beaten the 50,000 lines for 98 for GTE... if indeed they shipped ... say around 60,000 lines and 140,000 lines were the total for the usa, orctf would have approx.. 40% of usa lines shipped (as well as 40% of worldwide market- not bad) if total worldwide adsl deployment for 99 (all vendors) will be 3.5 x 98 (500k lines)... revenues for orctf would seem to have significant potential for growth .. ;) ... here's to hoping that costs will be under control sooner rather than later.. and maybe q2 will see some black ink (think they've got a shot, as long as the new adsl silicon ships on schedule and the "integration still needed" is workable) also by any chance was there any discussion of partners on the consumer side or potential customers for the new adsl silicon... am guessing that this sort of news might accompany the official announcement on availability of the chip... thanks again s
