Well, Wednesday might be an example of a mini "upcrash" for example.

A day when shorts are getting busted out of their positions and it just spirals up. I was in Seattle at the time, but the day (October 15th?) that Greenspan made a surprise announcement cutting rates I vaguely recall that the market shot out of a cannon. That could be considered an "upcrash".

In essence, when the market sells off hard people call it a crash. Some people call extreme positive moves an "upcrash".
