You are jesting of course, and of course I agree with you. However, it is darn tempting to just go with the flow. Case in point: Last Tuesday morning I started researching CMGI; it was at $130/sh. An hour later I was ready to buy but the stock was $140 so I decided to wait for it to come back down. By evening it was $150. The next day it was $175 and by Friday night over $200! So if I'd blindly hit the buy button when I first looked at it Tuesday, a $13,000 investment would have grown to $20,000 by week's end. That would have made a nice down payment on my new Corvette. So much for prudence and due diligence!
