WSTL folks don't need anymore bad news.

Just trying to look at both sides. I have been an ADSL fan for about 4 years. And I am getting really sick of all the field trails and delay after delay. As I see it the main reason for the delays was that the industry was manipulated in going down the DMT path and forcing out CAP from also becoming an ANSI standard too. If CAP had been an ANSI standard then ADSL would have taken off sooner.
Don't kid yourself,....DMT is what BA wants and don't you think that they will stall as long as possible on the mass roll out until they get their DMT. I guess we will WAIT and see what BA will really do this year, while the cable modem people continue to crush ADSL.
In my opinion 1999 will be the year Cable Modems really take off.
Had you asked me this last year I would have disagreed, but when I hear average people off the street talking about Cable modems I have to step back and get a reality check. Just look around and see for yourself it is really happening. I don't think that the Cable Modem industry has all the red tape that the ADSL industry has.
All in my own opinion.
