Dennis,
I must be missing something here. I ahve owned EMC for about three years and have made a very substantial profit. I have not seen a problem trading and I certainly can't complain about the stock's movement.

You probably have had long discussions regarding the NYSE specialist but I am new to the thread. Could you either summarize the situation or point me to the postings that would help.

Thanks.

Len

Dear Dennis: I dont pretend to be a guru on "Specialists" but it is my understanding their job is to attempt to make an "orderly" market in stocks under their purview. So they buy and sell to try and smooth out the prices. Likely, the problem with EMC is that it is now SO POPULAR that the buying comes in WAVES and he cant smooth out such volume buying. Then when the institutions slow down for whatever reason, stock slumps somewhat. I think you need to look at the longer term price fluctuations, which I believe is generally UP with MORE to come. JDN
