Guru,

I've said this before, but even after discounting SOftbank investment, the fact is that YHOO did return positive earnings. As such, it is still one of the three nets with positive earnings.

SO what is the problem ?

it would be nice if TheStreet.com identified where the entire 4.3mm came from....they just described it as "other softbank related companies" just what qualifies as a "related company"?? Any idea how many different companies Softbank has a interest in...big or small?? 10's..100's what???? where does the figure come from?? In that respect the article was very vague. IMO

Was the advertising etrade purchased from yhoo money well spent? The only way you can prop up the conspiracy theory is to show that the etrade expenditure was not in etrades best interest. As an online brokerage firm, where else on the net would you advertise?

Thanks,
jb

I think I saw this movie, it was called "The Net". Guru, your not Sandra Bullock are you? If you are I take back all the bad things I said.
