If the order is odd-lot, the order is no longer represented. I got several partial fills in the past with broken lots - however recentlys the situation improved - partly a I trade the more liquid stocks.

The worst partial fill I got in CIEN, i got 21 fills with 2 shares each and the rest (a few hundreds) in a block ...
But it also happened that i got a single share so I have 1 share of a certain stock on my book crazy...

And finally I found my ask say- for 200 shares cut to 1 lot at the RTQ, what happened - I got executed 20, 30 or 70 shares and the remaining 180, 170 or 130 are pending, i can make up for the rest once the market bid hits my ask or try to supply another 20,30 or 70 shares to make a round lot again. But it is annoying.

Datek has partial filled my orders in the past at absurd levels.

For instance, I put in a buy order for 5000 shares, and got filled for just 10 shares. Then the price moved up, and I wasn't able to get filled for any more.

What the hell do you do then??? I have these 10 shares sitting in my account! I'll lose money on the commission to sell them.

I wish Datek had an 'all or none' option. Seems ridiculous that they don't yet have that option.

as for partials

a datek rep once explained to me via email reply that odd lots don't get presented to the market - they stay local to island only - of course this could have been the excuse du jour - no telling with datek

anyway - so if it doesnt fill because another ISLD order can't fill it then you're SOL -- datek says too bad - BTW we've got your 9.99 - lol
